The role will help ensure that complaints and concerns are received, assessed, followed up, and resolved fairly, promptly, and transparently, while maintaining confidentiality, impartiality, and professionalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Safeguards &amp; Grievance Redress Officer will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Work with the Executive Office, External Communications Team, Project Management Units (PMUs), and Grants Management Unit (GMU) to ensure that FGRM and whistleblowing information, channels, and reporting mechanisms are publicly available, accessible, and operational.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Receive complaints and coordinate their follow-up until cases are resolved and closed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure complaints are recorded, screened, assessed, and handled in accordance with organizational policies and SOPs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify and coordinate expert reviewers or investigation panels when required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with the Strategy &amp; Institutional Growth Directorate to ensure relevant policies and SOPs are adequate and effectively implemented.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the development, updating, and delivery of safeguards and FGRM capacity-building activities and training materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare monthly case updates and an annual report on FGRM implementation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Represent KEMITRAAN at FGRM-related meetings, events, and forums.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Officer will act as a <strong>neutral facilitator<\/strong> in the grievance redress process and will not independently investigate cases or unilaterally determine solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Expected Deliverables<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Accessible and operational FGRM and whistleblowing system maintained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complaints and grievances managed and resolved in accordance with established policies and SOPs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FGRM policies, SOPs, and training materials reviewed, updated, and effectively implemented.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FGRM training and capacity-building activities delivered as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Timely monthly and annual FGRM reports produced, with stakeholder engagement maintained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assignment Duration and Level of Effort<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The consultant will work based on a mutually agreed work order and timesheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the first month, preparation and coordination work is estimated at up to <strong>10 working days<\/strong>.
