Emmy Hafild is Program Director of the Partnership. Prior to that, she was Chief of Environmental and Economic Governance Cluster of the Partnership. She has a substantial track record in leadership positions in the CSO sector, including Transparency International and WALHI. Before joining the Partnership she was Executive Director of Greenpeace Southeast Asia, a global environmental campaigning group, managing offices in Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia.

She has more than 22 years in decision making positions and networking in environmental protection, corruption prevention and democratization movements at local, national and international level.

She received many awards of her work in environmental advocacy, from the Government of Indonesia and from international media. Among others are, Fulbright scholarship from 1992-1994, one of the Heroes for the Planet by Time Magazine International in 1999, and the President’s award of Satya Lencana Pembangunan in 2001.
