Wicaksono Sarosa became the sixth Executive Director of Partnership in September 2009, following a long recruitment process conducted by the Executive Board. He succeeds Mohamad Sobary, who served the Partnership from 2006-2009.

Mr. Sarosa was Executive Director of Urban and Regional Development Instiute (URDI), a prominent local institution working on urban and regional development issues, where he served for 7 years. He has a distinguished record of expertise in dealing with issues and trends pertaining to governance reform and development sector in Indonesia showed by his professional and academic exposure to date.

Born in Bandung, Indonesia, Mr. Sarosa attended Bandung Institute of Technology, and received a Masters and a Ph.D. in city and regional planning from University of California at Berkeley.
