Economic and Environmental Governance
The Economic and Environmental Governance cluster aims to promote development that sustains the environment for future generations along with economic growth and equality. This means: the entire population has the opportunity to live in a healthy environment, is able to access quality public services equitably, and enjoy the highest possible level of wellbeing.
Sustainable development requires the commitment of all stakeholders to ensure that Indonesia’s vast natural resources are mobilised equitably, especially for the poor.
The EEG’s programs are currently focussed on:
- Redefining development priorities and incorporating then into macro-economic policy.
- Building community self reliance.
- Protecting the environment and managing natural resources for the benefit of all people.
- Making export products more competitive and value added
- Facilitating regulations that improve competitiveness
- Guaranteeing environmental sustainability as a development modality
- Strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to compete in the global market.
